Anyone familiar with Mariners Green Apartments? (Newport News: work, business, moving)

I found a good deal at Mariners Green Apartments, and I was wondering if anyone knows the neighborhood, or the type of people that hang around there. Any other info on Newport News around that area would be helpful. Thanks.

I definately would not suggest moving into Mariners Green. I have lived here for a year and I hate it and cannot wait to move out. If you like really squeaky floors that feel like they are going to fall out under you and dont like any type of water pressure or good plumbing then this is the place for you. If you like somewhat sophisticated living then don't move into Mariners Green. Trust me, its a bad idea.

The apartments aren't that bad, but the management is horrible. Every time you ask for something to be done, you have to call back 2-3 times and get upset to see any action. They treat their residents like criminals. They are rude, snooty and abrasive. I can't believe they still work there. They have committed fraud and participate in unfair business practices. They don't pay referral fees that are clearly owed and cover evidence to prove they owe it. Completely unscrupulous!!!!!!!!
