VA's next governor thread: McDonnell vs. Deeds
Who are you supporting for governor in this election? Bob McDonnell or Creigh Deeds? And why?

McDonnall becasue hes from Virginia Beach and won't screw us over on transportation dollars. It's time we stop funding northern virginias interstates and subways and help out the 2nd largest metro in the state.

Watch out on your vote for McDonnell. He wants the counties to pay for transportation, not the state. The folks in NoVa make up about 30% of the states population and most of its wealth. If the rest of the state stops spending on NoVas' roads what will happen when NoVa doesn't contribute anything to areas like Hampton Roads, Richmond or Roanoke? The math doesn't add up. The republicans are the reason we are in this transportation mess so why are you voting for McDonnell? I just don't understand it. Deeds may start campaigning soon I guess.

The last I read, Fairfax County receives about 19 cents back from the state for every dollar it sends to Richmond. Much lower than most other parts of the state. I can't say I know about VB's return though.

Do we really want another Pat Robertson, this time as governor of VA?
He is very anti Gay, anti womens rights, anti abortion. His campaign ads says he is a jobs governor although he did everything possible to deny extension of unemployment insurance. Virginia.....please don't vote for this phony!

Read the news....the republicans in Richmond plan to make the counties pay for transportation...no more state funding. Vote for McDonnell if you'd like to see that happen! Talk about raising taxes?
