Default Small claims court............

hi,
if person A is sued in the small claims court and the court date is in 2 weeks, then:

1. what is the time limit for person A to counter-sue?
2. if person A counter sues, does that mean that both parties will appear in court and the judge will hear both and go one way or another?

this is for a case in NoVA.

Person A would have to file a counter suit before the court date, that way the judge would hear both sides.
If you want your counter suit heard, it would be best to show up for the court date.
