Cool.

I always like Lexington because of the historic architecture you can find in it.
If it were closer to a bigger city (Richmond or Roanoke) it would be an ideal place for me to live after college.

I visit Lexington often but in many ways the people in that area seem to like isolation. It has great potential for tourism but I'm afraid the locals just don't feel comfortable with change or outsiders telling them what to do. Oddly, I can never understand why there is a visitors center in town. Maybe thats why its such a nice place to live?

Don't be fooled by the small population of Lexington! We actually operate 3 Visitor Centers in the area (all several miles from the interstate so that we're not just a restroom stop) and we get waaay more visitors to town than we have residents! There's a reason we have over 1,800+ rooms - we know how to fill 'em!
