Default Lake Monticello
We are planning on moving from NY to Lake Monticello. I just read that water bills are high. Is this true??? Any other unexpected expenses or higher bills that I need to be aware of???

Welcome to Fluvanna County. $80-90 a month for water and sewage for family of 3. Annual dues in the $780 range (includes trash disposal) On the plus side, electricity is very reasonable. Most expensive times of year- mid winter and mid summer. Mid summer around $150 for an approx 2000 sq foot house at the Lake, and in a cold winter, around $200. Everything is electric at our place so no gas bills. Taxes overall are pretty reasonable as well. Hope the move goes well.
