is it a sin to let my wife get an abortion
we have 5 mo old. but arnt ready for another. shes 4 weeks pregnant. well...?

Well? She always may have the baby and give it up if you don't want the baby? Frankly you need to ask major question not here. I would say keep the baby, and go from there. |

There are SO MANY things wrong with this that I don't know where to start.

Excuse me? LET HER? As in give her permission? I hope that's not what your saying.

Ummm... It didn't take her long to get pregnant again, eh? I would think you two would be busy taking care of your newborn?!! If you don't want kids what kind of question is this?!! This is exasperating. Why would you have a child you don't want?!!
And I just love this...

SO I GUESS THE GENERAL CONSENSUS IS, HAVE A BABY YOU DON'T WANT, OVERPOPULATE AN EARTH ALREADY FULL OF CHILDREN IN NEED OF LOVING HOMES AND "GIVE IT UP" SO IT NEVER REALLY KNOWS IT'S PARENTS- BUT, ABORTION IS A SIN?!!

You said your wife is pregnant. You are married.
You're not ready yet for another baby.
Have you ever heard of BIRTH CONTROL if you are not ready for another one.
You and your wife made this child. Do you want to KILL your own child that you and your wife have conceived?
That is murder commited by two married people for their own selfish reasons of not taking responsibility for their own sexual gratification.
It's your kid. Let it live. It deserves to live. You made it.
Be PARENTS, not throw away baby killers.
Even asking about aborting a baby that a married couple conceived makes me sick and speaks volumes about the quality of (or lack of) the two adult people involved.
I could go on but it would probably cause me to be banned from this site.

Orphans? We're talking about a newborn here. People would line up and fight to the death for a newborn! You can't stop her. If she's going to do it, do it now while it is way early in the pregnancy. Abortion is a terrible thing. Get a vasectomy.

i wasnt asking for personal opinions.
and i wasnt asking for opended responses amyvandutch...
i agree that abortion is wrong. but im in the military, and and going to be over seas when this child would be born. how is it fair for me to leave my wife with two in diapers...? i have to consider what's going to be best for my family, and your opinions arnt going to sway me. i was simply looking for someone to shine some light on the matter, (not agree with me), more to give their advice on its biblically a sin. my wife said about the abortion. and i agree that we're not ready for another.
according to a search, it wouldnt be considered murder. look at the picture, that what the "baby" looks like right now 
i would think it would be nothing more then a form of birth control at this point. if all you critics think removing growing cells is killing life, then what about forms of conreceptives which kill sperm, kill the egg, and stop pregnancy. if life starts at conception, then what about the morning after pill? an unfertilized egg is still made of living cells and tissue, so its therefore "alive"? same with sperm. you want to be critical of when the two combine, but not when they are seperate? isnt that "stealing from peter to pay paul"? who gives you the right to draw lines of justice? if stoping a pregnancy at four weeks is murder, then so is conreception all togther.

Are you seriously asking on the CITY-DATA VIRGINIA FORUM ABOUT THIS?
There are tons of RELIGION forums online you could ask this and you choose this one?
I will now go to Google and quickly find the answer your are looking for: 16sec later: In Christian based faiths, abortion IS A SIN. Catholics, Baptists,....etc..etc....it is a sin.
(lets avoid a biblical debate on the semantics of 'Christianity' as it relates to Catholicism..etc). Keep it simple.
So....if you are a Christian it is a sin in the eyes of the church. It does vary by religion,...so maybe if you are some unique esoteric religion it might not be?.....but it is a sin in all Christian religions.
So good luck to you! I hope this helps and you end up making a choice that is right for you.
