So this is shot in the dark but a nice person was traveling and found a miniture pincher at the rest stop in Richmond Virgina a few days ago. Instead of leaving the poor little girl they picked her up and brought her home with them. They brought the dog to the Wake County Animal shelter in Raleigh North Carolina, sum 3 hours away. If you know anyone missing an aprox. 1 year old red female minature pincher please have them contact the Wake County Animal Shelter in Raleigh, NC. The dog will be help untill the 30th of October. Attached are a few photos of her.

Oooh so cute - but you can tell by her/his eyes that he is terrified. I used to do animal rescue and this is how a lot of people dump their dogs - at rest stops - sick - isnt it? A lot of people also dump their dogs on highway mediums - that is how cruel the human animal is.

The shelter will try to offer him up for adoption. Being that he is a small breed he will most likely be adopted. There is always the chance he may be PTS but right now that is not likely.

The people that found the dog should contact the Richmond animal shelter(s) - that is where the people looking (if they are) would check.

Agreed. We adopted an 8 week old pup (she's a year old now) from a rescue group that took her from a "kill" shelter two days before her time was up...
