Hi,
I do a lot of work in the Bristow area. As a REALTOR, I know the area well. I do think that it is congested. I would not call is rural. The population from the Manassas area has moved further west. If you want more rural I would suggest Fauquier County ie Warrenton, or, Nokesville (which is in Prince William County) If you want even more rural, think about Warren County. Depending on where you are working you may be looking at quite a commute. But prices are lower and you have the mountains at your doorstep.
Hope this helps.

Even Nokesville is becoming overrun with suburban sprawl.

I live in Bristow. It is country to me but I grew up in NYC. I think having one tree in the backyard is a treat. I really like the area and with the new road developments the traffic has gotten considerably better.

I work in Fairfax and I have a 30 minute commute door to door. A 30 minute commute is a real treat in NOVA.

Is there any relief for West PW county or is it going to keep being another Fairfax?

I'm curious how threatened is Fauquier County, both upon the RT 28, 29, 66 roads?

I notice on 66 once you get to the mountains that seperate the counties it's rural but wondered how long this will last as I recall Gainesville was once alike.
