Default Front Royal Q

Hello! a job oppurtunity may bring me to Front Royal. The question is I would like to live closer to DC or MD but keep my commute within the sane range.

What are my choices? say within 25-35 miles of Front Royal (exit 6 area). I figured Manassas is too far to commute daily. I am looking for a nice diverse community.

thank you.

Well should add that good schools are important too. We will need a good elementary school soon. My spouse may get a job in VA closer to DC so we were looking to live kinda within commutable distance of Front Royal and DC. If it can't be done then that would be good to know too. Thank you again.

Is Front Royal rural or threatened by sprawl, I thought 66 West of 15 was all rural and empty of traffic?

It's still pretty rural with a little sprawl in some areas. I'm not sure about traffic to and from D.C. as far as how far out the traffic starts to slow up.

Any ideas on the housing market in Warrenton or Gainsville? say for a 4-5 bedroom house. I hear Fauquier County has good schools. Anyone have experiences with the schools? we have kids who are almost ready to start school.

Someone suggested Purcellville, Virginia also- what do you like and dislike about Purceville, VA?

Thank you.
