I live in So CA and possibly moving to VA in one of these areas to be close to my daughter Moreso County, Palmyra Lake, Lake monticello, Richmond, Fluvana, Albermarle county. Can anyone tell me how the job market is and cost of living rent, etc....CA is pretty high, I live near the ocean in San Diego county and its quite expensive here. Which would be the best choices?

Richmond has one of the stronger job markets among metro areas in the country... the unemployment rate is at 3.0%, big corporate presence for its size, etc...

I guess it's worth pointing out that while the overall job market is strong, some jobs are easier to find than others. Depending on what you do, it may be very easy or not so much.

What kind of price range are you hoping to see?

I've done alot of different type of jobs, school district, telemarketing, office jobs, worked at air conditioning company, telephone company, customer service, furniture store, some sales...etc. Price range of pay you mean? Hopefully enough to pay the rent and then some, not sure what the rent is there. A two bedroom condo I'm in now is $1550.00. Therefore I have a room mate. How much do apts go for there (1 BR) and of coarse would like to be in a safe neighbor hood.
