Smile Apartment Searching: Move from GA to VA

Hello all!

I needed some assistance. I've been searching several threads and haven't really found the answer I am looking for. Like similar people, I'm moving to VA due to getting a job in Falls Church. Now, I would love to live in Falls Church, but the city is a little expensive. I do not have children or pets. I've been looking at several apartment complexes and hopefully should be visiting them in about 3 weeks, but I don't want to waste my time in looking at them if they aren't worth it. I'm not looking to spend any more than $1200 monthly in rent.

I've looked at Manor House, Commons @ Barrington Park (Manassas), Cascade at Landmark (Alexandria), The Point at Fairfax (Fairfax), Devonshire Square Apartments (Falls Church), Cavalier Club (Falls Church), Orchard Glen Apartments (Manassas), Fairfax Square Signature Apartments (Fairfax) and Vantage @ Merrifield Town Center (Falls Church).

If you have any advice or suggestions for me on apartment renting, I would GREATLY appreciate it. Again, I won't be able to look at these places until 3 weeks from now and only have a short time to do so, so the more running around that I can cut down, the better.

Do you have other option beside North VA area?

As far as a job, no other option. Just didn't want to live too far from the job and have to deal with a horrible commute.

hey! My husband and i are planning a move too, to Virginia. I found Apartment Ratings :: The leading source of apartment reviews by renters for renters. to be an incredibly helpful site to find good apartments. Also i suggest looking into rental townhomes, they are much better in my opinion and less of a headache to deal with community issues. Anyway I wish you good luck and i hope that helps.
