I have seen this VW around town a few times and don't know what the model is. There are no badges on it other than the VW emblem. I think it is the predecessor to the CC. It looks a lot like one of the high end Mercedes, the CLS.
Anyone know what it is?

Heat it up with a hairdryer, run a string of dental floss between the badge and the car surface, and use rubbing alcohol or hairspray to remove the remaining adhesive. Voila.
Be very careful and do some research on a car forum first to see how the badges are attached. For instance on my G35, the Infiniti lettering and the G35 lettering are simply glued on and are easily removed with a hair dryer and floss (with some goo gone to remove any left over glue). The Mt. Fuji logo (the main Infiniti symbol) is both glued and attached using two pins with actual holes in the trunk which would need the trunk to be filled and repainted to look right (otherwise you've got two empty holes in the back of your car which is ugly).
The 2009 CCs don't have any badging, other than the massive VW logos. A few 2010s are badgeless as well, but the ones rolling off the assembly line right now have a CC badge on the lower left trunk and the engine size (2.0T, 3.6, or 3.6 4Motion) on the lower right.
The wheels are 18" "Huffs" from the GTI/GLI, which aren't particularly flattering on the CC.
And while we are at it, the one pictured above does not have a panoramic roof, so it is the base 2.0T Sport model, which is the only model you can get with a 6-speed manual. The other models (2.0T Luxury, 3.6 Sport, and 3.6 4Motion) all have the glass roof.
