Hello all,

I am going to begin work soon in Annapolis, Maryland, but want to live near DC. I understand that there is a commuter bus, 921, that goes between the New Carrolton metro stop on the orange line, and my office in Annapolis. I was wondering if anybody in this forum had any thoughts or recommendations on whether there were any areas along the orange line in either PGC or DC that are both safe and affordable.

I know that the areas around Capitol South and Eastern Market are pretty nice, well maintained, and right in the heart of the city, which is nice. the downside to these areas is that they are generally more expensive and further out from New Carrolton. Are these my best options, or are there areas further from the Capitol that are also worth looking in to?

Thanks!

Mike
