Default B24 and B25 Buses

I am staying in Bowie this semester for an internship in downtown DC. I am debating between driving to the metro (New Carrollton) or taking the bus. I know that driving would be a lot quicker, and I did the drive back and forth a few times today, but I am not used to driving on such big highways and would feel more comfortable if I could take a bus.

Does anyone have experience with the B24 and B25 buses? How crowded are they typically, particularly during rush hour? Do they usually run on time?
