Hi, once every couple of months I need to commute from PA to Crystal City. I usually take 15S, but 270 at Frederick is ALWAYS terrible. I thought I'd try to get on the Metro at Twinbrook as Shady Grove fills up.
Would 355 be better than 270 from Frederick to Rockville? Is there any better alternative (any back roads)? Any suggestions appreciated! Thanks!

Don't know if you are still reading this, but most people I know who do that commute take Route 28 from the Point of Rocks area all the way down.
