Im looking at houses in the Sherwood forest subdivision and was hoping anyone can tell me about it. Is there risk of flooding? power outages? crime? is there alot of military families there since is close to the base? anything else???

I don't live too far from there and looked at a few houses out there last year. I can't tell you about flooding or military but it seems like a quiet area. I personally liked it--we just were not ready to buy last yr so we did not get a home at that time.

I can say that power outages--you will be at the mercy of Pepco. (if you chose them). I've had 2 outages in the summer with the storms and I do think that area had a outage when the big snowfall hit. Other than that, drive by the area during the day and night to see what you think.

The income of the people there is pretty well balanced. There is a guy there with a bunch of his happy friends that take care of that.

Are you talking about the subdivision in Upper Marlboro? I used to live a couple miles away from it. I don't know much but it looks nice enough. For some reason the power outages ring a bell. I know the closest schools aren't the best.

Have you looked at Hollaway Estates nearby? There are a few subdivisions off Woodyard and Rosaryville Roads that are pretty decent or nice.
