I heard about that. Did they find out where the emu came from?

It escaped from a place in Huntingtown that keeps some exotics a couple months ago. A bunch of us GOBs knew about and had been kind of laughing. We figured someone would get it. As it was the owners really didn't make much of an effort to round it up, in fact didn't report for several weeks.

In College Park this morning.

University of Maryland student drug dealer killed in Prince George's County 11th homicide in first 11 days of 2011 - @TBD Latest | TBD.com

It's sad that that happened, but I'm honestly surprised that things like that don't happen more often. I was quite a pot head in my college days at UMD, and it was fairly common knowledge that there were certain students who kept LARGE amounts of pot in their house.

Two more murders overnight in PGC. One was literally two blocks away from my house in Lewisdale. Another was up the street at the University of Maryland. WTF is going on?

They were saying on the news that the stabbing in the Shopper's parking lot was due to MS-13 members believing that the victim was a member of a rival gang, and that it may have been related to the fatal stabbing in Langley Park a few days ago.

Thanks for the info. My grandmother asked me whether they victim was blk/white/latino. I correctly guessed "Latino". Sad that it's so obvious. Especially if it was gang related as you say.

There was another one a few hours ago. This one looks like it was justified, so while it's technically a 'homicide', it's not a 'murder'. I don't know if the police department counts cases like this in the totals.
