Default What????

No offense but I don't know where you are coming from. I have no idea what your talking about. Why would they do that? I mean seriously man. PG is no better than any other region in the world, its mostly undeveloped, which means that the schools are so called "bad". parts are nice a lot isn't.

just look at the umpteenth posts about pg on this forum and you'll see what i mean.

Crime has been on the decline in Prince George's County for more than five (5) years. While the recent murders sadden everyone, I seriously doubt that this will continue through out the year. Newspapers local networks and some individuals on this board love any opportunity to label the county as Baghdad on the east coast. I expect them to exploit these murders. This wasn't random violence. One victim was even asked for by name. Arrests have been made and I expect more to follow.

I seriously doubt that the people committing these murders care what the murder rate of the county is, assuming that they even know what 'murder rate' means. I'd be willing to bet that their mindset falls into one of the following groups:

- they have little or no impulse control, and view being disrespected as being punishable by death

- they view the victim as being in their way of getting something that they want, whether it is drugs, money, etc.

Like the person above me said, the murder rate in the county has been dropping for the past 5 years. That being said, though, unfortunately sometimes things like this do happen. There was a 6 day period in 2005 when 9 people were killed. Things like that make the news because of the amount of killings in a short period of time, but these situations are the exception, not the norm. I really don't think it will continue much longer, especially with all of the other agencies (FBI, DEA, ATF) now becoming involved.

My mom blames it on the new executive. I'm like mom he just started how can it be his fault. Her response was the thugs must think he'll be soft on crime.

Well it hasn't stopped totally, i mean especially in the college park area, just the other day pgpd found a shooting, says its drug realated. Lots of selling crack down there, ever since umd has been out its been pretty ghetto down there. It just happens day by day
