So I just landed a new job in Rockville,MD. I know it pretty expensive to live in that area.
I was wondering how bad is the commute from
Fairfax,VA to Rockville,MD and Reverse
I would be working 8am to 6:30pm

What best time to travel,
Easier to move out there

I think the answer to the title is: never.

Seriously, we need a little more info., like: Where in Fairfax to where in Rockville? Generally, though, I'd start by leaving at 6:30 am and adjusting the time you leave in the morning to what works best for you. At 6:30 PM there will still be traffic on 495 and 66. I'd expect it to take until almost 7:30 - 8 pm to get home, with some days getting home much earlier and others as late as 8. That's a good 13.5 hours on the worst days.
