Hi Board,

I've noticed members on this forum who post extremely credible information about the county, my hat's off to you! My goal is to become a walking encyclopedia about all things PG. What are your sources for credible information? What websites, blogs, publications would you recommend?

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

FM

It's a strange goal to have, but i'll give you a hand:
Go here:
http://www.mncppc.org/pgco/facts/facts.htm
If you scroll down to the bottom, you'll find a link for "Round 7.0." This is a forecast of current and projected job growth and population growth on a neighborhood by neighborhood basis. The neighborhood are numbered and called TAZs. But they essentially reflect a specific neighborhood - even moreso than a zip code can. Anyway, it's a good source of data for anyone planning to move to the county.

Another is:
http://www.mncppc.org/html/pubs.htm
Here you can find info on many new developments around the county as well as random odd figures that would appeal more to politicians such as where rich people live; where asians live; where white people live, where black people live, etc.

ALso, go to the main site: M-NCPPC Prince George's Planning Board and Planning Department
There area multitude of links related to the recent updates on development around the county.

This should keep you busy for a while

Thanks LaurelEngineer!

My goal probably sounds crazy, so I'll say this... my long range goal is to become more active in my community. There are areas that need attention. People tend to be more receptive to your opinions/suggestions when you actually know what you're talking about. Beneath my opinions, I'd like to have hard facts.

Thanks again LE!
