Default Gaithersburg will lead D.C. proper per capita in multi-family construction in 2012

The city of Gaithersburg will have a total of 1,951 luxury multi-family units under construction by Q2 of 2012 in a city that is only 10.2 square miles in area. That is actually more per capita than the insane building boom taking place in D.C. proper when you factor in their respective sizes. All units will have the usual upscale amenities these days such as granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances.

1. Residences at Hidden Creek = 300 units (under construction)

2. Spectrum at Watkins Mill Town Center (multiple buildings) = 527 units of 700 total units (breaks ground in Q2 2012)

3. Downtown Crown (multiple buildings) = 537 units of 1,131 total units (breaks ground in Q2 2012)

4. Archstone at Gaithersburg Station = 389 units (under construction)

5. Y Site Apartments (unnamed yet) = 199 units (breaks ground in Q2 or Q3 of 2012)

***Crown Farm may have more than 537 units under construction by the end of 2012***

This may be unprecedented! Either way, everywhere in the D.C. region is booming right now!

You are probably right. All these buildings will be luxury though. They also each come with gated parking garages.

Do they also have a business center with internet access downstairs in the lobby?
What about 24/7 concierge?
What if my dog gets sick and I have to put him to sleep will they refund my $500 pet deposit or is it non refundable?

Well my dog already passed away back in December of 1987.
While he was alive he was far from the upscale and luxury type.
Back in the day I gave him his very own gym bag and he was good.

R.I.P.

Yes it is located between the 24 hour Starbucks and the yoga studio. A frozen yogurt/cupcake boutique is slated to open in fall 2012.

What about 24/7 concierge?
In lieu of an actual human concierge each unit will be equipped with it's own ibutler screen enabling residence to request a service at the touch of a finger or via voice control.

Your $500 will be pro rated from the actual date of passing.

Rest assured that any unsightly residential or commercial units built during the 70's will be torn down to make way for a mixed use upscale residential and shopping town center
.

Well that is unfortunate because I love the 70s.

I especially love the year 1978.

I've read that they're going to build a new high school in the Crown development, any talk about building a new elementary school as well especially in light of the overcrowding at others in the local area?
