Well, we found our home. I posted before asking about the condos near Diamond Cove Terrace in Rockville. We ended up out in Germantown, in Buckingham Square off of Father Hurley Boulevard. WE LOVE the area! Anyone from Germantown with any review of this place.

What do you think it will look like long term? Right now the community is gorgeous, well landscaped, and the neighbors are nice. Lots of nice shopping and other amenities right around the corner. For the locals, what are your thoughts about this place? Safety of the community, long term home values, etc. Seems to be very safe, there are a multitude of cops that live nearby. I like the people, and the lifestyle.

Tell me hubby and I are making a good decision if you are Germantown local. This is our first home purchase and we are very nervous.

I live in Germantown (couple miles from you), and it's a safe area.

The worst part about living in Germantown is the traffic. Unless you're lucky enough to commute north (towards Frederick), it will be a problem.

There are a few good restaurants in Germantown.

Sabai Sabai Thai
Pho House - good Pho and Banh Mi
Peking Pelice - order from the authentic Chinese menu, not fusion
Royal Bakery
Yuraku Japenese - sushi

Jimmy...thanks for your input. We are very excited and glad to hear that the area is safe.

I work in Rockville. Hubby in Gaithersburg. We plan on coming up great Seneca and avoiding I-270 altogether.
