Default Know anything about the Bethesda Hills apartments?

Hello:

I am thinking about going to see an apartment on Dudley Lane in North Bethesda in the Bethesda Hill apartment complex. Everything seemed pretty good until I got on crime reports and noticed that there have been like five reported crimes on the block where I am looking to move into an apartment, including a couple of breaking and enterings. Is this a dangerous area?

Thanks.

I'm not sure what site you are using but from crimereports.com, there was only an alarm going off and a theft several blks away.

It is certainly not a dangerous area and it is not really known for crime so for the most part, you should be ok. But take precautions when it comes to your valuables.

5100 block of Dudley Lane. Some breaking and enterings came up if you go back far enough. I also checked the reviews on apartments.com or whatever the site is and they weren't favorable. One person identified "ghetto superstars."

It might be okay, but I think I'll look around a little more.

Good grief, that's off Pooks Hill Road, which is about a nice as it gets for a rental area. The "ghetto superstars" must have gotten off the bus and were cruising the area. They couldn't afford to live there. I wouldn't take these apartment ratings very seriously unless you verify them for yourself. BTW, I expect that B&E's are committed by people who target affluent areas. That's a risk anywhere you go in Montgomery County.

BTW, I checked the street view of the apartments, and the ground-floor units look vulnerable at their patio doors. I would want an upper floor unit.
