Can someone tell me the recent history of the Twinbrook area? I'm looking to buy in the area and have checked out some houses between Rockville Pike and Veirs Mill and Twinbrook Parkway. The school ratings are interesting - 3, 8, 8. I noticed there is some redevelopment over there near the metro - not sure if this will influence the area?

Thanks in advance.

low/moderate income area (relative to MoCo, obviously). Correspondingly mediocre/poor schools (also relative to MoCo) - the 8 you're referencing is Richard Montgomery, I assume, which has positively skewed test scores due to the IB program. Not much in the way of interesting amenities, but you'd be pretty close to downtown Rockville and Bethesda so that lessens the impact. Yes, there's a decent number of slated projects around the metro which might have a positive impact, especially on the amenities front, e.g. the new Safeway being built as part of the 360 unit residential project (The Galvan). It'll certainly be a number of decades before 355 is completely built out, but it's a good start, so far.
