Hello all,

I'm just accepted a job offer in the county and will be relocating here. I'm looking online and have found some apartment complexes in the area, but I'm looking to see if anyone can toss me any other suggestions on decent places in the area. I'm trying to avoid the areas that aren't safe. So far I've been trying to keep myself outside the beltway and within about 20-30 minutes of Lanham because thats where I will be working for the next year. I would prefer the rent to be ~1000 a month with a max of around 1300.

I don't know what is available but Old Greenbelt has some small one bedrooms. There are some areas of Greenbelt that aren't as safe as others though. I don't know the other areas well enough to advise you. Rental costs are moderate - I think you could fine a smaller 1 bdr in a safer area for $1K. We have a 2bdr small townhouse for $1600.
