Default What part of Silver Spring is in BCC school district?

Hi -- we are looking to move into the Bethesda-Chevy Chase school district. I have heard that parts of Silver Spring feed into BCC, but, just looking online and on the Mo Co school district maps (the one I looked at had no roads), I am having trouble finding out which neighborhoods in Silver Spring these are. Does anyone have some neighborhood names?

Thanks for any help -- Laura

The one school I could find which fits your criterion is Rosemary Hills Elementary School at 2111 Porter Road, Silver Spring 20910. Thee neighborhood is Rosemay Hills.

I used this tool: Division of Long-range Planning

You need to give it a street address and zip code. It returns the school assignment for elementary, middle and high school.

Neighborhoods around there you might also look at are Rock Creek Forest and Rock Creek Gardens. They are east of Rock Creek Park but have Chevy Chase addressses.

Here's the whole BCC cluster:

B-CC Cluster Schools

Middle: Westland M.S.
High: B-CC

Elementary:
Bethesda E.S.
Chevy Chase E.S.
North Chevy Chase E.S.
Somerset E.S.
Westbrook E.S.
Rock Creek Forest E.S.
Rosemary Hills E.S.

I think Rosemary Hills is the only one with a Silver Spring address. It is only a Kindergarten thru second grade school.

Part of Rock Creek Forest is in the Silver Spring zip code. I checked Realtor.com for homes in 20910, and they are more reasonably priced than homes in Chevy Chase proper. You have a good idea for getting into the excellent BCC high school.

Houses in zipcode 20910 range from 350k single family minimum. Town houses are for less maybe 250k in 20910. Prices in 20910 are falling alot. Majority of the folks who are selling in zipcode 20910 are older so they have plenty of equity and they just want out so they can retire and sell the house fast as possible. I am not sure about chevy Chase.

Not all homes in the 20910 zip code are going to be in the BCC cluster. Most are probably in the Blair Cluster. I think you'll save yourself time by just working with a realtor.
