Pretty sure this is all a moo(t) point. From what I understand, Lakeforest Mall is going away in a few years and as of now there is NOTHING scheduled to take it's place. It might just end up being a huge parking lot for used and new cars.

Yes, I'm sure the landowner will just bulldoze an income generating property and let it sit empty. Because you know, we're all socialists!

Once Lakeforest Mall goes down, and it will go down, I personally bet you it will sit empty for at least 5 years.

Someone actually bought Lakeforest and they are planning 20 million in renovations as well as adding more big box stores.

Department store anchored indoor malls are definitely in decline, but Lakeforest is a LONG way from being defunct. If it ever does go under entirely, it will be snapped up in a few weeks and developed into a town center.

HAHA. Comparing Fairfax to Gaithersburg. Even White Flint is below Tysons Corner Galleria. All that will change when Metro opens and the crooks/criminals/Teen rob mobs from DC/PG County are able to get to Tysons.
