I am a college student who resides in eastern rural PG. I have lived in PG most of my life. I also do not have a car. I have worked in Rockville and Bowie. I am trying to avoid a lengthy commute. I generally feel unsafe at Addison Rd Metro station, Landover, Benning Rd Metro to give you an example of my "safe area gauge".

My opinion of what's safe and what others might feel is safe differs and that's why I ask.

Are there any places in PG that are metro bus/train accessible that are safe to work part time in your opinion?

Should I just suck it up and work somewhere in DC?

I don't understand this post. Are you saying that you just get to pick where you work?

Where exactly is your home (on what rural road ? I know those areas pretty well).

Are you near either to a WMATA Metrobus route, or to a PG County-operated "The Bus" route ?

Which college do you attend, and how do you get there ? Does a friend or family member drive you ?

What times of day, or days of the week, do you prefer working ?

I'm just trying to understand your situation, to better help you. Bowie, Kettering, and Clinton, come to mind, but I don't know how accessible they are to you.
