Copper Canyon Grill is coming to Woodmore Town Center. Kind of surprised they didnt go to NH. But in a way I'm glad they arent going there. Talk about fine dining, this place is AWESOME.

Oh thank God they're putting something in Woodmore. Every time I see how many empty storefronts are at that place I want to cry.

That is good news. Their menus looks good and is reasonably priced. Another restaurant I would love to see in PG is The Chart House. I went there for the first time over the weekend and really enjoyed the experience. That restaurant would be a great add to NH (although that would be too close to its AlexVA site) or Woodmore.

Default Sketches

Below are a few sketches of the Cafritz project to be viewed at the May 23rd Planning Board Hearing. Personally, I'm in love with the concept. The design is such that the project doesn't look like a project. It looks aged in. There are distinctive shapes and different sizes and heights as if each building was added years apart. It reminds me of Dupont Circle.

College Park enjoys Bobby Flays Burgers as well as Sweetgreen which are chains that are not so common place in the DC area. As the Casino gets built, look for the exclusive restaurants headed by world renowned chefs. This, perhaps, will be a catalyst for other restauranteurs to proliferate throughout the county that otherwise wouldn't have come. We will see as other major projects come on board. I think now is as good a time as any to attract more upscale dining. I read an article once where Applebee's was the only dining option in the county. Now you have restaurants by nationally known chefs in the county. It took a few decades, but in the last 10 years that has been significant change. Now we're on the cusp of getting a nationally recognized upscale grocer and perhaps retailers only seen in Chevy Chase and Tyson's Galleria. I think the prospects look bright.
You probably won't like this either.

SoMDExpert.com » Cheddar’s Opens in Brandywine MD, But Is It Worth The Wait?

We decided to check it out Wednesday evening and the wait was 2 hours!!! I would expect that at almost any restaurant on a Friday or Saturday, but on a Wednesday? This place must be something great!

After looking over the menu, I realized they have pretty much anything you might want. From salads to steak, fish, chicken, and sandwiches, Cheddar’s has it all.

And the best part is that they are fairly inexpensive! The most expensive thing is about $15 (the steak and the ribs). Almost everything else is under $10, You really can’t beat that!

Since we didn’t actually make it in to eat, I’m curious if this place is really as great as it seems.

They should clean up there. I like the menu I'll check them out when they open.

Washington Business Journal 5/20/2013

After a heated approval process, the $250 million project that would give Prince George's County its first Whole Foods store appears to be moving forward, The Washington Post reported.

The Prince George’s County Planning Board is expected to review key elements of the project on Thursday in one of the final steps before the developer can seek building permits and break ground at the 37-acre site in Riverdale Park.

The project is planned by the Cafritz family and County Executive Rushern Baker.

Well tomorrow is the big day. The PG Planning Board will vote on the detailed site plan for the Cafritz project. Riverdale Park unanimously voted for the project. College Park and University Park voted against it. 99% of the project is in Riverdale Park. Sooooooooooo deal with it College Park and University Park. And College Park should focus more on it's blighted Rt. 1 north of 193 instead of trying to meddle in real progress. Rt. 1 continues to be an embarrassment in College Park.

"College Park and University Park voted against it"

what the hell

I absolutely loathe these mouthbreathing imbeciles who want CP to remain a ****ty little town with nothing going for it. Okay, that's an exaggeration, but seriously... CP is an absolute joke of a college town.
