I see your point but I don't know either. Here is the description:

FBI headquarters in Greenbelt benefits all Marylanders - Baltimore Sun

Quote:
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority has offered the use of 78 acres at the Greenbelt Metro Station as an FBI campus. The site is at the northeastern end of Metro's Green Line, and it is also the most convenient station for Howard County (19 miles along I-95 from Columbia) and much of the region (30 miles from downtown Baltimore, for example).

In Greenbelt, the 11,000 FBI jobs would be easily accessible by car, bus or rail (Greenbelt is also a stop on the MARC Camden Line) to residents of Reisterstown, Essex, Catonsville or Glen Burnie.

I only said that because Good Luck Road is not near the Metro

$$$$$

Also higher paying jobs within the county and it will also attract government contracting businesses who want to move closer to their clients, which will lead to more commercial based tax revenue. In other words, it would greatly change PG economically.
Thanks,

that helps

thanks. that's the most specific information i've seen but it's still puzzling where they can come up with 78 unused acres here.

Paper bags should be encouraged yet they want to charge a fee for them? All bags can be recycled so it is a matter of personal behavior. Why punish the collective for the actions of a few individuals?
It's a very progressive tax and nothing PGC should hold it's held high about as taxes is one reason MD is unfriendly to perspective companies who may come to the state and set up shop, hire people and pay taxes.

Agenda 21 is hitting us faster than we want to believe.

Here is your alternative suggestion...it is the actions of few who are responsible for the problem at hand just as with any obstacle. Push that message rather than punish everyone. Not everyone makes use of the $$$ recycle bins the county provides to us and choose to throw plastics and other items into land fills. I make use of my big blue bin.

Default CDC to stay in Hyattsville under reduced lease terms

A small win for Hyattsville and the county.

Quote:
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is staying put in Hyattsville under a new lease that will enable the agency to shed more than 70,000 square feet, the General Services Administration said Thursday.
