Just wanted to know how bad a Silver Spring, MD to Chantilly, VA commute would be? The route taken would be Georgia Ave to the Beltway into VA, to I-66 west to Rt. 7100. During regular rush hour times.

The beltway will... well... I can't find a better word than SUCK. All the way down to the American Legion bridge. It will then clear up after 123 and Rt 7. On the return trip, it will pretty much suck from 123 and on.

I worked in Chantilly in the 90's ... and my commute was from Potomac, MD. That was about 45-1hour. And I actually avoided the beltway, got on at Am. Legion and got off at the very next exit and took Old G-town to Sully Rd. I can imagine it only gotten worse in the last 10 years.
