Hello. I need to buy clothes like chinos/khakis, causal dress shirts, and good golf shirts. Where do you find these things in the DMV? Price is an object ($200 - $300 range) and haven't had luck at Walmart, Target, or Khols. Help please. Thanks.

I usually go to Van Heusen (it's at Tanger), but you can also get some good deals at Jos A. Bank on some days (they have sales everyday). Those are some reasonably priced places for your budget. You should be able to rack up with that budget, but if you want something a little bit more higher quality then Brooks Brothers (Chevy Chase, Tanger) is good but you money won't go as far.

Just went to Men's Warehouse in downtown SS and forked over a ton of cash. I had never heard for "Tanger," but perhaps I'll try it (assuming I can figure out what it is and where it's at).

Old Navy has golf shirts. Macy's is good for the button down dress shirts and khaki's. You might even find some golf shirts there (Club Room is usually affordable).

I would check out JC Penney. There's one in Forestville MD and Springfield VA. Be sure to look online for a coupon to bring with you. They have good quality business wear for rock-bottom prices. You'll find better deals at JC Penney than at Macy's.

People may laugh/snicker, but if you have the patience, go to a second hand place.

I can attest that the value village on New Hampshire ave has plenty of "standard" men's business casual clothes: button down shirts, khakis, etc. You've already checked the obvious options, give it a shot.

For men's shoes, I like the Arundel Mills outlet.

Went with Men's Warehouse for dress casual (overpaid) and to Kohl's for good golf shirts. Thanks.
