Hello,
I would like information on a few nice living area's outside Washington DC. I'm a 45 years old Single Black women. I'm in the IT business. Income is around $93,000.00. Looking to move too a nice area where there are a lot of single professional men. I'm not interested in living in the suburbs, near married couples and families... I would like to be near the shops, restaurants, eateries, movie theaters and within 30 minutes or less drive to the Potomac river or Bay.
Are there any area's outside Washington DC that may fix what I described above.
Thanks

I think downtown Silver Spring would be great for you. You could afford a nice apartment in a high-rise. If you want a townhouse, you might need to go a bit further out to find an affordable place. Please read some of threads about downtown Silver Spring.

I know this is old but for future readers Tysons corner is really nice. Pricey, but nice.

I would second downtown Silver Spring. You should be able to swing a nice apartment there if you don't have a lot of debt.
