I thought it was common knowledge.

The HIV infection rate amongst blacks, from what I read, is comparable to the worst of the worst in Africa.

So if its common knowledge citing the source should be easy. Especially since HIV/AIDS infected people in the US is around 0.4 percent. Maybe a little over a Million people out of close to 400 million have the virus and thats not a conservative estimate that includes people who health officials assume dont know they have it.

I worked as an AIDS counselor in 2 major cities and NO I can't provide stats on data that aren't relevant to my current professional endeavors. I am also a Scientist by training. However, you can contact either the CDC or the Whitman-Walker Health clinic for more info. Better yet, a quick google search is also quite effective for finding credible sources of data.

I have absolutely nothing to gain by spreading false information on a disease I've both researched and provided education and counseling for.

Not many Blacks can afford to live in San Fran and the ones that do are Techies who aren't known much for IV drug use/abuse.

Great question all I know is that when I was an AIDS counselor, we gathered our data on married/committed Black men engaging in homosexual activity from Atlanta and DC.
