Hmmmm. Changed their minds huh? I wish they would have said that was the real case back in 2013.

They compare themselves to iPic. It would be cool if they were comparable to the one in Bethesda.

Beltway Plaza is actually a lot more accessible to the Beltway and 295 than say, PG Plaza, so there is that. Beltway Plaza is functional as a neighborhood mall (with a grocery store, Planet Fitness, Target, etc.), but it would be great if it can be extensively remodeled.

What exactly are you referring to? The movie theater? Redevelopment of the mall? Not sure I can connect this statement to the current convo.

I meant that the opening of this theater could be the impetus to remodel the rest of Beltway Plaza

Oh okay. Well, to some degree. But I think the FBI at Greenbelt would be the main reason. I think that is what the theater is actually waiting on. If the FBI comes to Greenbelt, expect redevelopment from College Park all the way to 295.

Academy 8 (Theater at Beltway Plaza) was owned by AMC, however Quantum Management (owners of Beltway Plaza) bought the theater from AMC. Just wanted to clarify that since some are making comments as if they are two seperate entities.
