I think the primary isn't until the end of April and it's impossible to say what'll be going on in the Republican Party tomorrow, much less 50 days from now. Either way, I doubt the MD primary will matter. Either The Donald will have it locked up before then or a contested convention will be a foregone conclusion and the Republican establishment will pick whoever they want (and it ain't gonna be Trump, no matter how many Republicans voted for him).

I've spoken to some Trump supporters. Some said they voted for Obama.

Maryland is historically a blue state. I predict it will vote Democrat.

This November marks 28 years since Maryland voted Republican in a presidential election. I'd think it unlikely Maryland will vote other than blue this time, but anything is possible.

I assumed he meant in the Republican primary. Certainly there's no chance Trump would every - I mean EVER - win a general election in a state like MD.

If you mean the primary, yes he most likely will. MD is a closed primary state. Many conservatives are registered Democrats here to get their say in Democratic primaries that are tantamount to winning the general. That means actual registered Republicans in this state are some of the most vile mouth breathing white trash bigots in America. It's very similar to Massachusetts, where Donald cleaned up

There are still a few of us 'Mac Mathias Republicans' in Maryland who refuse to leave the party for various reasons (But this campaign season may make it tough) But I generally agree with you that Trump will win.
