We are considering moving to Maryland. My spouse would be working in Gaithersburg. Would love to find an area that we can walk to library, resturants, grocery, etc. But also be relatively close for a manageable commute to downtown gaithersburg. We also need good public middle and high school options.
Are there any communities like that?

Is traffic terrible coming from Rockville? How about coming from further out in other directions? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Commuting from Rockville would be a decent commute/reverse traffic. Hard to suggest neighborhoods without knowing your price range or type/size of house. King Farm would make sense, as would downtown Rockville, Kentlands, Downtown Crown, etc.
