I am finally closing on a house purchase in Bethesda which was a cash transaction.

The walk thru will be at 1pm on Monday and the closing will be on Tuesday at 11am.

I was asked to wire the balance on Monday to the settlement attorney.

Is wiring the cash a day early an unusual request in real estate transactions?

Also have been told the buyer will be signing at 2:30pm on Tuesday. I assume he will not be at the closing, but what does that mean? What will he be signing??

I have a call in to my agent re these questions , but he has not yet answered

Thanks for your help
