Does anyone have photos of the original Toys "R" Us store in Rockville, MD? (Bethesda: 2015, apartments)

As many of you may know, Charles Lazarus's original Toys R Us store was located on Rockville Pike, across from Congressional Plaza (it later moved to Mid-Pike Plaza). Many of my family members worked in that original store and I was looking for a photo of it, not that the chain is closing.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any photos of it. All I can find are photos of the Mid-Pike Plaza location and Lazarus's children's furniture store in DC.

Does anyone have any photos of the original Toys "R" Us store in Rockville that they can add to this thread?

I heard there was one in langley park a longggg time ago. is that true?

Don't have any photos. I grew up going to the Toys R Us in Catonsville, MD on Route 40. Going to Toys R Us was such a special memory of my childhood. There was something special back then about going to a dedicated toy store and checking everything out through all the aisles, vs. going to an all-encompassing store like Walmart/Target/etc or shopping online. It's just not the same. These kids don't know what they are missing, lol.

Trying to remember if there was a Toys R Us....I remember there being a Kids R Us back in the late 90s through early 2000s...maybe there was a Toys R Us at that location before

I do not have any photos of the Rockville Toys R Us, but I just found an entry for Children's Bargain Town in the 1959 Rockville city directory. The address: 1500 Rockville Pike. That appears to be the correct address for the Toys R Us based on my memories. I walked there regularly, all the way from my father's apartment in Bethesda Park Apartments, almost two miles away, just to look at Hot Wheels. I can still almost see the display - it was an end cap of an aisle in the front of the store. I even still have my first Hot Wheels car, a Custom Mustang, one of the original Hot Wheels cars! I've been wondering for a long time exactly where the store was located. If I find any photos I'll post them here. P.S. I joined just to reply to this post.

There was a Toys R Us in Langely Park, it was on University Blvd . My parents bought me my first Bike there back in
1965! It was a long time ago, PGC was awesome to live there back in the day.

Wow such great memories I have of the one in Wheaton on Georgia Ave by Wheaton plaza. That one is gone obviously but wasn't there one where the CVS is now off of Georgia and Randolph near there..? The parking lot where a lot of Asian markets are now...
