Hello,
I have just found a job at Uni. of Maryland, College Park. I would like to live close to campus and would like to know which areas are safe. I am considering Greenbelt, Silver Spring, apartments on Piney Branch Rd. and near New Carrollton. I would appreciate any suggestions. Also I am planning to use only the UM shuttle and no car.
thanks.

I used to live in Berwyn Heights and it was safe at the time. Parts of Greenbelt and Silver Spring used to be safe alos. Unfortunately it's been a few years since I went to UM.

living on the shuttle line will be really convenient. i don't know how much you're planning on spending in rent, but check out The Towers of Westchester Park.

Smile Checked the shuttle line-UMCP

Hello,
I checked the shuttle line and am planning to stay at Seven Springs in College Park on Cherry Hill Road. The university is close, so I was thinking of walking through the paint branch park and acredale community park. I still have to find out whether that is possible and whether its safe to walk through these parks.
Thanks for the suggestion!
