I am new to maryland, the rents here are not that cheap. I was wondering if i can look out for a condo home. Can someone please advice on which places in maryland would be good to buy and will get good deals? What price range can i expect for a 2bed/2bath condo home?

I have seen places like silver spring, germantown, gaithersburg. Not much but somewhat. Can you suggest which of these will have for deals?

Also can someone suggest me some nice real estate agents whose help i can take for my search?

My budget is not high. Was wondering if it is a good idea to buy now or renting would still be a better choice.

For Gaithersburg: Welcome to Colonnade
For 2BR/2BA look for ~$300K

For someone new to the area, why do you want to be saddled with a "purchased" home before being fully acquainted with the area and is sure you'll be here 'long term'? Is it really worth buying now when prices are still high since they're being artificially propped up by the government?

A lot depends on
1.) Where do you want to live? I'm assuming close to your job, so it be helpful if you gave us an idea of where your job is and what type of commute you are willing to make.
2.) How much cash you saved up that you are to put toward a down payment.
3.) Your income and how much you feel comfortably spending a month on a mortgage.

There are deals everywhere you just have to be willing to put in the time and search.
