We live in Columbia and I'm considering a job at NIH in Bethesda. It will be an 8-5 Monday to Friday work sched, but could be flexible as long as you're done with the 8 hours of work in a day. I would like to take the job coz I've been wanting to go back to research and have been waiting for this opportunity at NIH. The only thing I'm kinda worried is the travel from Columbia to Bethesda. I've read a lot of not so good comments in this forum about the travel to that area esp on rush hour. Do you think it's workable? I will really appreciate any info or options I could take so I can still grab this job opportunity. Thanks so much.
By the way, this is my first post though I've been browsing in the forum board over a year and I really find it very helpful & interesting.
Hope to hear from anyone...thanks in advance.

It's workable, take 29 to east west hwy, make right on Wisconsin. Once you go past downtown SS, you'll be going against traffic.
