Default moving to MD...

Hi!
I am currently working in Camp Springs, MD - renting in VA.
Most of the houses I have liked in VA are about 50-1.5 hrs drive. I checked some houses in MD around Waldorf that I liked, but I don't know the area. I will drive this weekend to White Plains to look at some other houses.

Are both Waldorf and White Plains safe? I have read many comments good and bad ones in other threads. I am single female and would like a quiet place. Rural is fine.

I read Calvert County is not too far and is nicer - where in specific in Calvert?

Please I will appreciate any comments...

Thanks!!
