Moving to DC area from Minnesota
My son, 23, is taking a job at the Pentagon and is looking for a place to live in a decent neighborhood. He is willing to have a roommate, but wants to have some fun options around to walk to or get to quickly on the Metro. He also has a dog, which might make his choices a bit difficult. Any suggestions would be helpful since he doesn't know anything about the neighborhoods. His salary is not going to be six-figure, so reasonably priced is important, but is that even possible out there?

tell your son welcome
-alexandria - arlington/ballston - would be the best options over in VA. It will be pricey regardless.
