Unhappy Is it a bad idea moving to DC on July 5th?

I'm planning on moving from College Park, MD to DC downtown on July 5th.
I will probably be taking I-495 in the morning, say 10am, so I'm concerned about the traffic because July 5th is Monday, after the 4th of July holiday...
Do you think it's a bad idea moving to DC that day??
How bad would the traffic is????
Any thoughts??

Id' think that traffic would be lighter on a h oliday unless they're planning on doing construction.

Monday the 5th is a federal holiday so I think traffic will be much much lighter that day. You'll have the tourists of course, but I don't think most of them will be on the route you are taking.

Besides it being hot as hell (I'm assuming), I don't think it'd be that bad. The festivities are all the day before, so I'd think that most people would be just taking it easy (besides tourists)
