I was in DC recently for a conference and at the Chinatown Metro Station, I noticed an individual that was busking by drumming on pails and a shopping cart. He was excellent and gave him a decent amount of spare change I had on me (My pockets were full of change).

Does anyone know the name/identity of this guy? (i.e. if he has a web-site) I've heard that he has been doing that for a while.

I know exactly who you are referring to, but I have no idea who he is or how you might get in touch with him. He's out there quite frequently, most often when there is an event at the Verizon Center.

There's something about the echo of the bucket drums bouncing off of the area buildings that just sounds very cool.

I know him, he used to play up in downtown Silver Spring too before they took the field away.

I'm from Houston -- a very pedestrian unfriendly city, much more conservative (at least in relation to DC), where playing music outdoors is damn near unheard of -- and I know what busking is.

He knows what it is too. He's pretending to be ignorant.
