I cook almost all my meals, and spend about $275 a month on groceries (1 person shopping very carefully and cutting coupons). Since a nice dinner out is easily $100 these days, your spending does not sound unreasonable at all, so long as it fits in your overall budget.

Dinner for two with a couple of drinks or a bottle of wine at a reasonably-nice restaurant can easily cost $100 in DC, or at least that's what it seems to cost me when I go out with my girlfriend a couple times a month.
