DC Weather
I'm accustomed to mild and moderate winters, I'm assuming the winter weather get down here is nothing compared to what DC gets. How are the seasons in general?

Summer-- Hot and Humid...I love it. You get used to it and don't think much of it.
Spring--Seems like it last 3 weeks-Starts around February/March
Fall--Beautiful- weather goes sour around end of November
Winter--you'll get one blizzard guranteed. Its great because the entire region shuts down because they don't have the manpower or equipment to deal with it. Most part it snows and gets cold for a few weeks in January and the rest of winter is mild and balmy around 45-55. My first winter I thought was a Caribbean experience after moving from Ohio.....

DC winters aren't really that bad compared to the Northeast.
If it snows even a little though, things tend to shut down.
DC rarely gets deep snow, but when it does everything is closed for awhile.

Haha. Oklahoma was covered in six inches this past December, so the governor declared a state of emergency. He did it again when we covered in three inches. That's just how it works down here.

That's one thing I LOVE about DC... everyone goes into a tizzy at the mere mention of snow. An inch or two shuts down the whole city... and I get a day off
Other than that, blizzards and deep snow doesn't happen as often as, say Buffalo, NY... but it happens a little more often than one might think - especially if you live in the northern/western suburbs. As for spring and fall, we have some nice days and some rainy days... summers are hot and humid. Can be downright miserable during the hottest days (close to 100 degrees with a large dose of humidity).

DC weather is just like the rest of the NE/mid-atlantic region
summer= hot and humid getting into the 100s sometimes...thats with humidty
Fall= 50s and occasionally hitting 60...night can become chilly 40s and high 30s
Winter= Cold but not Maine cold...nyc philly bmore dc pretty much the same...temps can go from 10 degreez to 45 degreez...snow happens but not like BUFFALO...Blizzards happen maybe once or twice...regular snow is bout 2-8 inches...
Spring= is LIKE DAT in DC 60s 70s...but rain can mess it up sometime...
Coming from somebody who is from here not a out of towner or a transplant
