I've read this so I know where not to go:
So you are coming to the 8/28 Glenn Beck March on Washington? - Maine Refounders / Tea Party (http://paintmainered.ning.com/profiles/blogs/so-you-are-coming-to-the-828 - broken link)

and this so I know where to go:
What to do while the Tea Party rally is in town » We Love DC

and will stay out of blue zone:
The Tea Party Guide to DC - Google Maps

wow. Did these people get their info on DC from uncylopedia?

I'm no fan of the teabaggers, but on their map they do state that many areas of DC outside of the ones they state are safe. The fact is that most teabaggers will probably be staying near the Capitol, so that's why they shaded those areas as safe. Those hellbent on boosting Petworth and Col Heights as the next big thing will understandably be angered by that map though.

Oh I was referring more to the article in which the guy said to not ride the yellow or green lines especially at night and dont go past Union station on the red line. He also said stay in nw and dont go past 16th street unless you are in capitol hill.

I did not see that part of the article. It does seems like overkill. Although after that Gallery Place brawl I wouldn't want to be riding through that station late at night on a Saturday.

Actually, they're advice about not riding the Green Line may be correct. This article describes crime on the Green Line:

No, Stars. The article describes crime in far Southeast, which everybody knows is the most dangerous part of the city. The Green Line runs through many fine neighborhoods.

Those comments at the bottom of the Maine article are funny, though.

"Nearly half the arrests occurred at just five stations: Anacostia, Fort Totten, Gallery Place – Chinatown, L'Enfant Plaza, and Minnesota Avenue—four of them on the Green Line"

I see 3 places not in Southeast on that list.

You mean the three that are high traffic transfer stations and have more foot traffic others? False correlation, anyone?

I hear the Crystal City Restaurant is doubling their staff for 8/28. I guess this is what they mean by "the DC area is recession-proof".
