I am looking to go to NYC this weekend. I can't afford to take the train or a plane. Which bus line is the best, taking into consideration price, cleanliness, comfort, safety, and timeliness? Also, which ones are most reliable regarding departure time and working facilities (Wi-Fi, air conditioning).

Take the greyhound!
ESPECIALLY since they have brand new gorgeous buses with full leg room, wifi, air, outlets, & etc. for certain routes! And NYC - DC and back, happens to be one of the very lucky few! And when i say few, i really mean FEWWWW!

And it's REALLY inexpensive!!

Megabus or Boltbus, both cheaper and BETTER than Greyhound or Trailways.

https://www.boltbus.com/

Both bus companies pick up from the parking lot downtown on H street.
Megabus drops you off at 7th Ave and 28th street and picks up right by Penn station.

Well, Greyhound currently not only has the new buses, but $14.00 deals each way for NYC and DC.
So that's $28.00 in total. But you'd have to order in advance to get hose deal.......
But without an advance purchase, the total still only comes up to $32.56, ROUND TRIP! [w/ leaving on the 28th & returning on that follow monday....]

Mega bus one way = $21.00, with a total of $41.00 [w/ leaving on the 28th & returning on that follow monday....]
Boltbus one way = $19.00, with a total of $38.00 [w/ leaving on the 28th & returning on that follow monday....]

Boltbus is definitely 19 bucks one way. But Megabus, i'm not sure if it would change a little w/ returning the same or next day, instead of two days later on monday....but i doubt it. [i'd check, but my pc is lagging like crazy! lol]
